Smartly Solar delivered the design, supply and installation of a 26kW solar panel array for the Community Reuse Centre to “align perfectly with their core mission of environmental sustainability.” The addition of the solar system “demonstrates a commitment to renewable energy, providing a tangible example of green practices to our stakeholders, donors, and the community, and they also significantly reduce operational costs by lowering electricity bills, freeing up resources for our core activities.”
With an annual electricity consumption of approximately 25mWh, this solar PV system now supports their core mission by reducing their reliance on fossil fuels and lowering their carbon footprint whilst substantially reducing their electricity bills. The group management mentioned that their bills have significantly reduced, even through the winter when there are fewer hours of daylight.
